There's so many people who have played with Ike Turner over the years....literally hundreds if not well into the thousand mark! We tip our hats and say Congratulations...you too survived "Planet Ike!" Yep, life on Planet Ike was not only a trip, "It was a vacation".

This website chronicles the current band performing as The Kings Of Rhythm. If you are a member of Ike's past bands, please contact us and we will begin an "Alumni" section that seeks to shine light upon this fraternity of musicians that we are.

Leo Dombecki

Leo Dombecki is a multi-instrumentalist/composer/producer born in Detroit. After spending a decade becoming a fixture on the Midwest music scene, he relocated to Southern California in 2003 to play saxophone with Rock & Roll legend Ike Turner and the Kings Of Rhythm.

In 2004, Leo was fortunate to become a student of "The Godfather of World Music", Pandit Ravi Shankar. Since then he has studied with the maestro both in California and India. In 2006 he was invited to perform with the Anoushka Shankar Project on piano and live electronics, touring the U.S., Canada, Europe, India, Japan, Australia (including her sold-out debut at the Sydney Opera House), Taiwan and Singapore.

Leo and Seth are also known as the production team mrDSP , which was awarded with the 2007 L.A. Music Award for Best Electonica.

Ryan Montana

Ryan Montana has arrived. Through journeys with industry stars, and studies with music legends, Ryan has developed as a contemporary indie artist belonging to the growing community of studied, genre melding, multi-faceted performers that are taking music back to it's collective roots.

A singer-songwriter, jazz saxophonist, recording artist, touring musician, producer and studio engineer, he was born and raised in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Bozeman, and has been living and recording in Southern California for about 9 years.

Bill Ray

Drummer Bill Ray, originally from Mississippi, has toured the world with various bands and is best known for his position as Ike Turner's drummer during the last 7 years of his illustrious life. In 2007 the album "Risin' With The Blues", Ike Turner's final release that Bill played on won a Grammy for "Best Traditional Blues".
